Sometimes, I see art/design work and think to myself, "why didn't I think of that?" – this is one of those moments. Radiohead held an online contest to remix 'Nude' from their album 'In Rainbows'. James Houston's response to the brief was grouping together a collection of old redundant hardware and use them as instruments to create sound. I like the digital vs. analogue aspect of this project. James actually missed the contest deadline, but I thought i'd post it up here for you to enjoy.

Sometimes I really do have to kick myself... hard.
About 10 years ago I did a hip-hop beat using sounds from a typewriter, photocopier and a scanner - I'll try to have a word with Biz to see if I can put it up on here.
To be fair though I'd never have thought to use my Spectrum tape noise for a beat (I still have my +2), that sound used to annoy the hell out of me!
But well done James... it's a good look son.
