Toy Story

I was never that into toys as a kid. I had a brief moment with Barbies, a slightly longer one with My Little Pony and for a while I spent my afternoons ironing and cooking with a plastic kitchen set my Mum bought me from Argos. Most of my time was spent reading and/or pondering the futility of childhood and wishing I could just be an adult, like, now. (Being an only child will do strange things to you.)

I did, however, have a special place in my heart for a toy doll I christened Chloe. I recieived Chloe as a gift one Christmas and she came equipped with these weird little sachets of food which she would 'eat' and subsequently shit out, necessitating a 'nappy change'. In retrospect this was incredibly weird. But not as weird as this:

Is it just me or this very, very wrong?

Uh-oh...

my neice better not cry for this.

ps. being an only child will do strange things.

my good friend has what we like to call 'only child syndrome'. This is another way of saying that he is a stingey bastard.

always wants what everyone else has but will NEVER share.

rant over.

Ugh. If there's one thing I can't abide, it's stingyness. I actually don't think it's much about being an only child- my best friend is one too and she's probably the most generous person I've ever met. I also know people with siblings who were completely spoilt as kids and have grown into tight-fisted adults. I think it's more about upbringing...

Not that being an only child doesn't leave you with issues. I've got loads! But that's a whole other blog post...

Strangely enough - have no problem with little female dolls wetting themselves - but it's just wrong seeing it coming out of the baby's willy! Surely this won't/didn't stay on the market long right?!!
