I think Kanye West holds the belt for the most blogged artist on ATCN. (Biz/Ginger Kid is this true?) I tried to hold back from posting, but as I paid £90 for x2 tickets for Glow In The Dark, I am slightly concerned. The video above is a preview of his next single 'Heartless' taken from his forthcoming album '808 and heartbreak'. The track features more vocoders and more singing. Personally, I think it sounds better than 'Love Lockdown'. (What does 'Love Lockdown' even mean? Who is it about? Interesting.) I love it when artists develop and re-invent themselves (shouts out to OutKast & Mos Def) but I hope that Kanye doesn't fall off with this album.
Via drewreports.com, Common recently stated that "Kanye is having an 'Electric Circus' moment. Yeezy is singing all over his new LP instead of rapping. I love it. Let me tell you, as an artist, you wanna be free. You gotta do what you feel. You can’t just cater to the audience. You gotta say, ‘Hey, y’all, this is where I’m at.’ For him to do an album called 808s and Heartbreak, you know that’s where he is at this moment."

I didnt like love lock down that much, wasn't the type of music i like or expected but that didnt stop my playing it "over and over and over like an echo", something bout kanye west music makes people listen even if they dont love it.
Heartless sounds better to me, more upbeat, get a bit of a goodlife vibe from it, maybe cause of the vocoder in the chorus. Hope some of the album is rapping though, didnt he say that it will be 50s favourite hiphop album of the year or summit??? and not his favourite rnb album
The first time I heard "love lockdown" I wanted to projectile vomit. Or cry. Or both. No sound right now, but I'm not sure I even wanna check out his other newer songs. I feel you about the artistic freedom, but I'm not feelin it, but I'm sure his popularity will continue to increase exponentially, as the "love lockdown" sound is pretty popular...
