There is always one...

Raphael Saadiq's effortless artistry on his new album is quite beautiful. At first I was undecided but now I welcome one of these joints to shuffle in on me pod. His obvious stand out track on the album is Oh Girl featuring the Hov himself. I live for the piano accompaniment in the bridge...

This one tugs on the ol' heart strings.

Fly or Pie?

I say Fly (makes a change to swimming, although flyin' just beat that fear this year!!)

Dope, classic, back in the day soundin'.

Although I was feelin' some of the stuff he's done in the past with Tony Toni Tone, Lucy Pearl, Solo stuff also. I love the classic sound to this!!

But this is still the track too!!

Sorry, I know this is completely unrelated but I had to share this with the Tribe. I found this 'UK Rapper' by the name of 10Shott during my usual surfing.... I thought he was some kind of comedy act... I was wrong! He thinks he's good. Watch the video on his website (amazing lyrics)

IF ANYONE SEES THIS BLOKE IN THE STREET - SLAP HIM! Nuf said

Sorry to go slightly off topic again but... Raphael is mentoring a new 19yo wunderkid from Baltimore called CJ (I think he might be on myspace but cos I don't do social websites anymore I'm not sure), believe me when I say this kid is Marvin Gaye reborn to the point that it's scary... He sings and plays everything; to be perfectly honest I don't think I've ever met anyone more talented in my life.

Will try and get Admin to post up a track he did called "Make It To The Top" - trust me, you lot are NOT ready.

Super talented doesn't even come into it. He's on some next level shit. Anyone reading this you have GOT to pick up raphael saadiqs new album and especially the track CJ features in. Dont even illegally download it. Support real talent.

I never knew his surname was Hilton... lol

Funny thing is when I first met this dude he was working doing programming for Robert 'Big Bert' Smith (Brandy's baby's daddy and the REAL producer behind the Brandy Full Moon production sound Rodney took the credit for) and he was only 15 then. Homeboy used to come to our crib (these times our spot was a known hang-out joint) and try to get with any hot chicks that would come through by trying to impress them with his skills... Pure jokes! lol

To be honest, all I know is Baltimore breeds some of the most talented musicians I've ever come across in the Western world - that's no joke! What I want to know is if there's anyone in the UK on that level. If there is, I've yet to come across them...

P,L&D - I totally agree, he is REAL talent.

Fly or Die? That shouldn't even be a question.

Saadiq one of THE best albums of 2008 (and it's been a great year for music!).

Peace, Love & The Way I See It.
