Superman Reboot...

Rather sadly I have to admit that I am a massive comic fan - probably more in my childhood days than now but enough to be able to geek out with the best of them...

A few weeks ago I was catching up with some news about the new Superman movie - the last one was a little disappointing I liked it a lot at the time but in hindsight it was pretty lame and was essential a pub brawl over some real estate. Now Warner Bros have decided that instead of just making a sequel they are going to remake Superman Returns from 2 years ago!!!

What the hell - surely you can't just remake a film so soon, you have to wait a bit of time. It's like me going into work and saying last week I had a shocker 'can I do it again?'.

They did it with the Hulk and we ended up with two pretty average films and the second one was worse. Is this a sign of things to come are film companies going to just redo things in order to get a franchise running?

do we need another Superman film??

(NB that photo isn't me... i promise)

thats ridiculous
if the first one was lame
what makes them think the next one is going to be better
like you said incredible hulk was a good example of that
although i liked the 2nd one much more

I have to jump on there...I thought Hulk 2 was not too bad...the only thing good about Hulk 1 is Jennifer C, & the fact that there is VW camper in the last fight scene in SF...hey I got a VW so sue me...VW Love

but on the superman...drop it like it's not...but BlueBoy out to dry...only DC goodie is the New Bat...& lets hope WATCHMEN kills it...as DC needs a couple more to make good...

different vein, but what about the 2 capote films released within months of each other? Wtf. If you aren't making an original, give it at least a decade

@ Booga you are totally right I ended up seeing neither Capote film because I couldn't work out which one to see.

illsun- might I suggest the one with Phillip Seymore Hoffman. His performance almost makes the entire duplicate situation forgivable

Philip Seymour Hoffman is a legend. His performance in Punch Drunk Love is amazing
