More Addictive than Crack*

Errrrghhh. I've done it again. This morning I woke up feeling slightly queasy and I can't even blame it on a hangover. It's a feeling I know all too well: That faint unease I get whenever I go on a late night internet shopping binge, something I've been doing on a scarily frequent basis as of late.

The scenario is always the same. I decide to stay at home, get things done, have an early night, save some money (oh the irony!) blah blah blah. And then, usually around midnight, I start up Firefox and decide to go on ASOS/Topshop/Ebay 'just to have a little look'. A few clicks later and BAM! I have spent that week's rent money and half a dozen items I neither need nor can afford are winging their way to me, ready to drop on my doorstep within three to four working days.

I don't care to admit how many times this sordid little situation has acted itself out over the last few months. I think the particular lure of my Bookmarked sites is that they're inexpensive enough that you could easily find something you want for under twenty quid. No biggie, right? But where I begin to go horribly, horribly wrong is when I start looking for more stuff I 'need', just to justify the delivery price. Completely distorted logic, I know. But there you have it.

My name is Phoebe and I'm a Late Night Internet Shopaholic. Don't judge me for it, people. It's an addiction.

*DISCLAIMER: Not that I would know or anything...

The tinternet is dangerous. I came back this morning from a party and wanted to download a tune that i heard. Went on line to go find it then just got stuck discovering more music, then fell asleep write in front of the screen. I'm taking a mini holiday staying away from my new addiction..com

Anonymous: are you trying to encourage me?!!! I have a disease, my friend, A DISEASE.

(In case you can't tell, this is my way of admitting that those sites are obviously all on the Bookmarked list already. Oh, the shame.)

I have no idea what a quid is, but I feel you. I know that feeling all too well. Luckily I hate internet clothing shopping, because I spend way toooo much on itunes and in actual stores...
