So with rumors that Hype is returning to feature films, following up the terrible scripted yet visually stunning Belly with 'BEAST'.
Is the music video pioneer finally about to make his mark or should he stick to what he does best...Three minutes of ass shaking?

belly was best watched ON MUTE and even then it wasn't all that. he needs to step it up big time if he's ever gonna get taken seriously as a feature film director.

no artist with a body of work as big as Hype Williams' can you be happy with everything.
granted some things are just unforgivable... as highlighted.
but on the whole his videography speaks for itself. the 90s with no hype - wouldn't even look like the 90s, take that as good or bad.
Yo I'm the only person that kinda digs that Wyclef/Rock record - its a pop record but I like it anyway.
As for Hype - if he got a writer, a good second director and some producers who kept nagging him to keep his shit on target that it could be good.
Otherwise more unwatchable crap

All that's needed is a script and cast as strong as the visual look will be and I'm there.
That said, Hype doing a video for 'Wearing My Rolex' would be a good look...
