Little People

If you've never met me or are very unobservant you may not know that I am short. Actually I'm very short before anyone corrects me. An old friend from school hit me up to say that they had seen a whole bunch of pictures of me around London and sent me the tiny url - needless to say I fell for it...

In the blogspot is a whole heap of images of 'little people' around the streets of London village

have a look at the little people blog there is some amazing shots on there.

The London African Film Festival

If you grew up in an African household like me, you may have been subjected to the horrors of relentless bad acting, horrific sets and insane story lines that make up African cinema.

If you were lucky enough to dodge what now makes up a small section in HMV or were in the same boat as me now is your chance to finally see some quality film making from Africa.

Between the 29th of November and the 8th of December a celebration of African cinema takes place around the capital with the annual London African Film Festival, featuring UK premieres, Q&A sessions with filmmakers, screenings of silent films and more. Venues include the ICA, the Barbican and the Rich Mix.

Kenan Bell ...NEXT?

Kenan Bell
Saw this LA native step up on stage last night at Cargo and I must say him and his band impressed me. One band member came on playing a broken computer, which always gets brownie points in my books. They were playing on a completely UK line-up featuring Ms.Dynamite, Wretch 32 and Natty, and he held his own. They are pretty dope, all I'm saying is check them out. And remember I told you, they could just be NEXT.

Brits Do It Better

Heidi Klum is an extremely sexy woman. This much we have already established. Adriana Lima is completely gorgeous and all the other ones are very beautiful, too.

But do you know what is not sexy, gorgeous or beautiful? Victoria's Secret underwear. Any woman who has ever visited this emporium of American undergarment sluttiness will testify that the products they sell in there are tacky, tacky, tacky and completely overpriced. Every year, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show rolls around and every year I am momentarily awed into thinking that I should really get round to finally applying for a credit card so I can buy some of their bras and whatnot online. And then I remember that, unless you have the body of an age-defying German supermodel, that shit will just look, well, shit.

When it comes to online underwear perving, I'm sticking with AgentProvocateur.Com. As with sarcasm and a good cup of tea, women's lingerie is obviously one of those things that Brits, quite simply, do better.

Rock the Bells UK Video and more Photos

DJ Semtex posted his video online of him chatting with the stars in attendance for the London Rock the Bells

The Heels that Keep on Giving

ART ON ATCN : Françoise Nielly

"Working primarily with the palette knife, Nielly is not afraid to let the rawness of her methods dictate composition. Whimsical color choices and an unapologetic sprightliness in her application of paint speaks to both a reverence for her subject and for the process of painting itself."

I absolutely adore these oil paintings. With such bold strokes, applied with her chosen artistic weapon of choice, the palette knife - what’s not to love?

Brand New Mr. Hudson

Mr. Hudson is one of my favourite songwriters from the UK

When I saw him playing ball with KanYe I had hopes for what was to come and today I managed to get hold of a snippet of his new song (I also got some shaky footage from glow in the dark but it was so bad I didn't bother.)

This is called There will be Tears and is bloody brilliant - I can't wait to hear the full length version tonight at the O2...

Its a cold Winter Ya'll $*£%&! Better Bundle up!

Big and British

From that subject you would think that this post is about a great new porn DVD that I had purchased. But no. This is my new feature on ATCN about British artists/actors/musicians/anyone doing it big oversea's...

This weeks is...

IDRIS ELBA
Born in Hackney, star of 'The Wire' and many a blockbuster film.
Definetly slept on over here, he should be a household name.

WE DOES THIS

ATCN were reviewed in Saturday's Guardian Guide. We don't know who Johnny Dee is, but we surely do like him. Not heard the words 'po-faced' for years, so I particularly enjoyed that.

Guardian readers, including Phoebe and myself, where you at ???
